VAT-Value Added Tax is a tax charged on each stage of sales made by the seller. It is the tax payable on the value additions made and is payable on each stage of the sale. In the US you have to pay sales tax instead of VAT. So no VAT is applicable in the US. There is a sales tax in place of VAT.
