Rs 500 and Rs1000 notes are no longer valid - PM Modi says

This could be the biggest stroke on the face of black money. PM Modi has declared that Rs500 and Rs1000 notes are no longer valid. Rs500 and Rs1000 notes would be just a piece of paper from today's night. PM Modi has asked all people to deposit Rs500 and Rs1000 notes in their bank or post office accounts with in next 50 days ie till Dec 30 2016.This way these notes will have a happy doom without impacting Indians with white. Goodbye Black!!!

PM Modi is leaving no stone unturned to curb the black money. No one could have even thought that he can go this extent. Bravo, what a spat on the face of black money.

HE HAS STOPPED rs500 and rs1000 NOTES. He has declared them altogether void, (except for paying to government hospitals, railway bookings, air travel bookings, petrol, diesel and CNG stations till Nov 11 2016).

Simultaneously, to keep good citizens safe, he has asked them to deposit the notes in their bank accounts. He has given them 50 days (ie from Nov 10 2016 till Dec 30 2016) to deposit the Rs500 and Rs1000 notes. Nonetheless, they can deposit the notes till March 31 2017 by showing their id proof at the designated branches of RBI.

He has declared that banks would remain closed on November 9 2016 and ATM would remain closed on November 9 and 10 2016.

He has restricted daily ATM withdrawl to Rs2000 a day, and bank withdrawls to Rs10000 a day and Rs20000 in a week.

New Notes of Rs500 and Rs2000, with additional security would be printed and brought into circulation shortly;
