Who can file ITR-3 and ITR-4?

Income Tax

You have to disclose your income in form ITR-3 if you are individual or HUF and you have income from business or profession. Generally, this form is to be filed for the income from PGBP which includes income from commission, salary, remuneration.

ITR-4


ITR-4 is to be filed by Individuals, HUFs and Firms which not limited liability partnership is being a Resident and having total Income up to Rs.50 lakhs.


Are you a person of any of the following?


  • You have business income and opted for a presumptive tax scheme under section 44AD or 44AE.
  • You have income from profession and opted for presumptive tax scheme under section 44ADA.
  • You have income from salary/pension, house property up to 50 lacs.

Note that:

If:-

  • You are a director of a company or
  • You have earned from unlisted equity shares


You can not file your return in ITR 4
