....My son shifted his residence from Tuticorin, Tamilnadu to Bangalore. Change of address updated in PAN details. He thought that the jurisdiction would be automatically changed by IT.Dept.Not changed automatically. In his business there was one foreign tax payment in Srilanka in FY 2015-16 under DTAA. The return filed (AY 2016-17) with Bangalore CPC was forwarded to Tuticorin AO (as found in PAN details) on 01.05.2017 as CPC was not having facility to verify foreign tax payment. The return is still to be processed. When contacted , Tuticorin AO advised to contact CPC to get the jurisdiction changed and to transfer files to the jurisdiction pertaining to present address. But CPC says that the AO whose jurisdiction appears in PAN could only change the jurisdiction.When he tried to bring this problem to the notice of The CC, IT, Bangalore, the e-mail id mentioned in their website is not existing. They have not updated change in e-mail id of even Chief Officers. What to do? To whom has he to represent? What is the present e-mail id of CC, IT,Ble. Please experts come to help his hands
