As job worker is a service,it would be considered a supply & job worker would be required to obtain registration if his aggregate turnover exceeds prescribed threshold of Rs. 20 lakhs or, as the case may be Rs. 10 Lakhs.

I appreciate your effort. May I request you to select one of the reasons from below.

Thanks,
You should first check on two things.
# 1 - State where the job worker lives.
# 2 - His turnover.
and then decide on GST registration.
If the Job worker lives in any north eastern state and his turnover is more than Rs10Lac in a year then he should get registered under GST.
Otherwise he should get registered only if his turnover is more than Rs20Lac in a year.
The north eastern states are:
- Arunachal Pradesh
- Assam
- Jammu & Kashmir
- Manipur
- Meghalaya
- Mizoram
- Nagaland
- Sikkim
- Tripura
- Himachal Pradesh
- Uttarakhand
