What documents should I furnish for a refund of excess payment in GST?

You have to submit a hard copy of these documents to the commissioner of tax in your jurisdiction. He will check the validity of your documents and credit your refund in a bank account.
You need to furnish the following documents
Copy of refund application(RFD-01A)
GSTR-1
GSTR-3BForm
ARN
The respective entries of payments and refund claimed in the Electronic cash ledger.
Self-declaration for refunds less than Rs. 2 lakhs and Undertaking that refund is not claimed from any other tax authorities.
Challan vide Tax Payment
Cancel cheque, for providing bank details in which the refund will be credited.
