If you failed to file the return within a due date, then you are liable for the late fee and penalty.

You will have to pay a fine of Rs 200 per day till your return is filed. However, this could not exceed the amount you are supposed to pay as TDS.

Further, if you have not filed your return within one year from the due, the penalty of minimum 10000 to a maximum of 100000 shall be levied.
