The key concept that lies behind re-engineering is that it aims at achieving dramatic improvement in performance. If an organization feels the need for marginal improvement in any area of operation at any point of time, BPR shall considers the replacement of the old process by altogether new one to achieve dramatic improvement in the performance.
Thus it the complete redesign of the business processes and it is not the approach to maintain the existing growth of an organisation.
