It is correct to say that production strategy helps in deriving higher strategy. For the implementation of business strategies, top level manager has to communicate on the production, regarding the plans and policies to be adopted.

Production strategy creates the way for transmitting corporate and business level strategy to the production systems and makes it operational. It may relate to production planning, operational system, control and research & development.
