Every organisation has its own objectives. Based on this, business organization can be classified as commercial or non-commercial. Objectives can be making profit or not.

Government organisations do not have any commercial objective of making profits. They works for social, charitable, or educational purposes.

The strategic-management process is key to success even to non-profit organizations.

Government organizations which work for other than profit motive needs strategy in order to provide an excellent vehicle for developing and justifying requests for needed financial support.
