Virtualization is the process of creating logical computing resources from available physical resources. This is accomplished using virtualization software to create a layer of abstraction between workloads and the underlying physical hardware.
Network virtualization is defined as to create logical, virtual networks that are decoupled from the underlying network hardware to ensure the network can better integrate with and support increasingly virtual environments. Further, it is a process of abstraction which separates logical network behavior from the underlying physical network resources.
