What is the time period within which a company should pay a bonus to its employees?

The company should pay a bonus to its employee within eight months from the end of the accounting year.
However, if there is any dispute regarding payment of bonus before any authority, it will be paid to employees within a month from the date on which the award becomes enforceable.
A company can apply for an extension to the appropriate government. In such case, it will extend for the period as it thinks fit. But such extension cannot exceed two years.
