In $4.5 billion deal Siemens to buy Mentor Graphics,US
To further expand German engineering group's software capabilities Siemens agreed to buy Mentor Graphics of U.S. for $ 4.4 billion.It is an all cash deal.Siemens will pay $ 37.25/share(a 21% premium of last closing price of share) of Mentor Graphics. Mentor makes software for designing semiconductors.This will add Siemens in 3 years & lift earnings before interest and tax(EBIT) by 100 million euros($108 million) or more in 4 years.
