Jul-Sep sales of Tata Steel rose 6.56% (4.77 million tonnes)

On Oct'07 Tata Steel said that its sales grew 6.56% to 4.77 million tonnes(mt) during 6 months of this fiscal compared to 4.47 mt sold in corresponding period last year.Sales of Jul-Sep quarter is 2.62 mt up by 12.4% as compared to last same period.Saleable steel also grew by 11% year to year(yoy) Jul-Sep quarter to 2.71 mt & same rose 9% in 1st 6 months of this fiscal to 5.06 mt.Crude steel output in quarter September was 2.82 mt up by 13%
