Newly launched e-way bill, is expected to have its test with effect from(wef) Apr'02,2018. Trading activities are expected to increase and then there will be heavy work on it. Electronic documentation of movement of goods(E-way bill) has come into force from Apr'01. In a phased manner, it will become mandatory in all other states of India. Traders are still not sure, if it would be able to handle this increased load. It was to be implemented from Feb'01,2018 but due technological problems, leading to delays in bill making, it was deferred. Apr'01 being sunday , hence much more work burden is expected on Apr'02 as logging of e-way bills for business and transportation. Bombay Goods Transport Association (BGTA) hopes that all remains well and traders are not affected. Two lakh were generated on Apr'01, and it would be many more today, as work volume on sunday is only about one fourth.
