Retail price index declines,Govt. need be careful

Recent CPI at 5.07% in Jan'18 & retail price index shows a decline.Food items are cheaper. Experts opine that Central Govt. need be careful as in coming months food items prices will rise.CPI will be more than 5% in coming 2 months & will be more than 6% in summer months.RBI predicts CPI is expected to be 4.5% in next financial year.Financial experts opine that CPI will be much higher due to (i) Base effect & (ii) higher prices of crude oil.
