Does GST applicable for the import of services?

Under the GST act supply of goods and/or services in the course of import into India is deemed to be supply in the course of inter-State trade, IGST is payable on such supply.
Since import of service is treated as inter-state supply and as per 5(4) of this act, IGST in respect of the supply of taxable services by a supplier, who is not registered, to a registered person shall be paid by a recipient on the reverse charge basis.
GST is applicable on the import of service and tax is payable on reverse charge mechanism.
