GST is applicable on renting of Immovable property for commercial purpose at the rate of 18%. If the person to whom you are paying rent is not registered under GST, then you are required to pay GST to the Government under Reverse Charge Mechanism. If the person to whom you are paying rent is registered, then they will charge GST on tax invoice issued by them.
