What are the procedures to get a refund of excess payment in GST?

It has some procedures that you need to follow. Here, I have listed out the procedures for the refund of GST in case of excess payment.
Step 1- Login into the GST portal with your login ID and password.
Step 2- After login, it will take you to your dashboard. Now, go to the “SERVICE” and select “REFUND” then to “APPLICATION FOR REFUND”
Step 3- Now select the refund type as ‘refund of excess balance in electronic cash ledger and then to “CREATE”. It will show you the ledger reflecting your balance.
Step 4- Enter your bank account number. You will receive your refund in your bank account number.
