ITR-2 is income tax returns for individual or HUF who is not eligible for ITR-1 and having income other than business and profession from

1. income from Salary/Pension
2. Income from House Property
3. Income from Capital Gains
4. Income from Other Sources
5. Foreign Assets/Foreign Income
6.Resident not ordinarily resident and a Non resident

Thus, ITR 2 is especially for Individuals and HUFs not carrying business or profession under any proprietorship
