You can claim pre-construction interest from the end of the financial year in which construction is completed. But you only take the interest before that financial year in your calculation of pre-construction interest. You can claim the balance in the current year under section 24.
In your case, the property was completed on May 2018. So, you can claim pre-construction interest from 31st march 2019. But you can only claim from june 2015 to March 2018. You can claim the interest from March to May in the current year as interest on housing loan under section 24, along with the interest from may to March(total deduction for this year).
