Here is a quick guide about taxability of RPF:
1. Employee Contribution: Deduction under Section 80C is available.

2. Employer's Contribution: Exempt upto 12% of salary. Employer contribution in excess of 12% be considered as part of salary and will be taxable.

3. Interest is exempt upto 9.5% of salary.

4. Amount received on retirement will be exempt subject to certain conditions
