Unless you have given her the property under any circumstances mentioned under, she can not claim the income in her return.

In short, if you have transferred assets to your wife without any consideration, her income will be clubbed unless:

1. If the transfer of asset is for adequate consideration, (which is not the case, since you gifted her)
2. If the transfer of asset is in connection with an agreement to live apart; (I sincerely hope not)
3. If the asset is transferred before marriage, no income will be clubbed even after marriage, since the relation of husband and wife should exist both at the time of transfer of asset and at the time of accrual of income; (I doubt it is possible now :D)

Long story short, your wife's income will most certainly be clubbed in your hands, good luck with that.
