Self revealing errors are those types of errors in auditing which appear during the preparation of accounts.

For example, if a cheque deposited is not shown. It becomes apparent during BRS.

If a payment to a creditor has not been recorded in the cash book but recorded in the day book, it will be seen while the legder are balanced.
