Licence is given to UK's BP Plc by petroleum ministry to set up 3500 retail fuel pumps to sell petrol/diesel in India.It was permitted to sell aviation turbine fuel (ATF) here.Presently here are mainly government owned companies,with little presence of private ones like Reliance Industries & Essar Oil.Recently Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd was permitted for retailing of transportation fuel & it plans to have 50 pumps in Bihar & WB
