Lockheed may shift its unit to produce F-16 jets in India

Lockheed Martin(US defence major) has proposed to shift its manufacturing unit of F-16 jets from US to India to make exclusively for India.A team of company officials will hold meeting with Defence Ministry soon.If deal is finalized,said company may produce latest version of F-16 fighter jets Block 70/72 here under 'Make in India' scheme by 2019-20 & will not be produced anywhere else in world.Latest version is supposed to be 'most advanced'.
