The government has already announced respective due dates by which a person has to migrate his registration from VAT to GST. Now, a hot question is popping in the mind of every other person is whether after the expiry of due dates whether they will be allowed to migrate.

However, we searched the complete website gst.gov.in as well as other reliable websites and we are not able to conclusively state whether registration after due dates shall be allowed or not. Also on gst.gov.in, it is written just above the due dates "Hence to be on a safer side you should preferably complete your migration process within the specified period. Because of absence of any information and as future is always full of uncertainites, delaying your migration after the due dates may be perilous.
