Except in cases where you are deliberately including expenses in the fee, state orally and in writing that the quote is “plus expenses.” Many clients will claim that they thought the fee included everything, whether they did or they didn’t, and you might be salivating sufficiently on the edge of a yes that you agree. Don’t. It could cost you lacs on the bottom line.
