Taxation on the income of educational institution depends on what type of institution they are.

It means section Section 10(23C)(iiiab) states that any educational institution approved by the government are exempted from tax. Otherwise, it shall be taxable.

Here, approved from the government means either register under 12A or 10(23C) or approved from the education department of state or government of India.
