Banchmarking and business process Reengineering can not be the same concept.

Benchmarking relates to setting goals and measuring productivity based on best industry practices. The idea is to learn from competitors and others to improve their own performance. On the other hand business process reengineering relates to analysis and redesign of workflows and processes both within and between the organizations.
