Logistics management is a business process which controls and monitors the flow of supply into, through and out of the organization. Logistics helps an entity achieve a level of service that facilitate movement of raw materials and finished products in a proper manner.
Creating a logistics strategy means determining a the service levels at which logistics, i.e movement of goods into through and out of the entity, is smooth and cost effective. And because of the constant changes in the supply chains, a business may feel the need to develop a number of strategies for specific product lines, customers or countries.
